Description: New Pattern follows forty young participants who gather in the creative workshop at Trelleborg Museum in the spring of 2017. Guided by artist Åsa Maria Bengtsson, they explore patterns drawn from nature, the city, and their own memories, objects, and experiences. Each young person develops a personal and expressive visual language, contributing to a collective artwork - a glass house that mirrors their identities, hopes, and dreams of belonging. Filmmaker Sadrolin "Sadri" Tam documents the entire process, capturing moments of creativity, vulnerability, friendship, and personal growth. The film offers an intimate and poetic portrait of young people finding their voice and their place through art.
